The session will offer up to date research data on care experienced and estranged students - recap the structural and social barriers faced by this group; including reference to the rent guarantor NUS campaign - share information on the national All of Us Community supported by the Unite Foundation - review the free resources hosted under that umbrella - share student-led research from within the Community on gender, identity and engagement - detail avenues to dovetail/partner locally, regionally and nationally for social or student activism related to care experience or estrangement. Attendees will leave with a firm grounding on this population of students, resources to support visibility and inclusion at an institutional level, plus connection and links to ongoing support.
