How to Celebrate Manchester Pride 2025

Tuesday 19-08-2025 - 09:08

In case you didn’t know… it’s Pride this weekend in Manchester!🌈

From Friday 22 to Monday 25 August, the city will be exploding with colour, music, and pure LGBTQ+ joy. Whether you’re here to march, dance, watch, or just soak up the vibes, there’s something for everyone.

What’s Pride in Manchester all about?

Manchester Pride is one of the UK’s biggest celebrations of LGBTQ+ life. It’s all about community, activism, love, and a whole lot of glitter. Think iconic parades, epic live acts, street parties that last all weekend, and moments of real reflection too.

No matter your sexuality, Pride is where anyone and everyone can come together to celebrate and support the LGBTQ+ community.

Here’s what’s happening👇

🎬SCENE: LGBTQ+ Film & TV Festival: Warming things up from 15–21 August with a week of queer cinema and TV screenings.

🌟Manchester Pride Parade: The absolute highlight. Expect floats, costumes, and thousands marching for love, equality, and visibility. The streets will be buzzing – and you will want to take about 500 photos.

🎉Gay Village Party: Canal Street is the place to be all weekend. We’re talking cabaret, DJs, street food, silent discos, fairground rides and all the drag.

💃Mardi Gras: A brand-new high-glam takeover at Depot Mayfield and Freight Island on 23 and 24 August. Think DJs, drag royalty, cabaret, and a party you’ll never forget.

🕯Candlelit Vigil: On Monday night in Sackville Gardens, the party slows down for a moment of reflection and unity, remembering those we’ve lost and looking to a brighter future.

And these are just some of the events going on this weekend. Check out Visit Manchester’s website for the full line up.

So, grab your friends, your loudest outfit, and glitter and get ready to celebrate love in all its forms right here in Manchester.

See you out there!🌈✨
